Mission
United States Volunteers Joint Services Command. Chief, Legislative Affairs Command. Primary mission Boots on Graves. To provide Military Funeral Honors to all Veterans and to train Veterans’ organizations to assist at funerals.
To support U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies with civil and public affairs as requested. To train and provide assistance to disaster relief agencies and to the American Veteran population. To assist community outreach programs for our veterans.
A 19th Century concept.

Formal Final Military Funeral Honors
Poulsbo, WA 98570 Saturday 18 January 2025 at 1100 hours
At the John Bruce Family’s Request, the LAC of the USV-JSC will be conducting a Formal Final Military Funeral Honors at the Gateway Community Church 18901 8th Ave N. W. Poulsbo, WA 98570 on Saturday 18 January 2025 at 1100 hours with a report time of 1000 hrs, (Note: Departing Shoreline, WA at 0830 hrs to take the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry at 0900 hrs).
Uniform is Dress Blues Ceremonial. This is a USMC directed Service. Escort of remains, Flag unfolding and Refolding and presentation will be conducted. The USMC Security Force from Bangor Naval Station will provide the Firing Team. The Final Military Honors will be conducted at the conclusion of the Family’s Memorial Service for Sergeant John Bruce, USMC.
